A new exhibition project dedicated to everyone’s favorite topic — our beloved pets!
A small experiment in the genre of an interactive total installation, created specifically for the space of my friends in Belgrade. There will be no long curatorial texts or references to the works of contemporary philosophers; instead, there will be lots and lots of cats and dogs, and the positive atmosphere of a gathering of like-minded people.
The exhibition took place at KP Radionica (Belgrade, Serbia) from November 19 to 21 and consisted of three parts:
-
A wall with paper cards, where we displayed information about all the animals, provided by owners/volunteers/caretakers, and also added contact details in cases where the furry ones were looking for a home.
-
A video projection — an AI-generated potpourri of cute cats and dogs in police and military uniforms, placed in various strange situations. Thanks to Roman Karman for helping with this video.
-
The fur wall — the main part of the exhibition. Portraits of the animals you submitted, printed on 25×25 cm squares of artificial fur in three colors, assembled into a pattern reminiscent of the uniforms of the National Guard / Federal Penitentiary Service / OMON.
