Crowds Murals

Three murals made back in 2016-2017 and were having mutual topic and visual motive – a crowd.

“One After Another,” 2016, Moscow.

A confident movement with phones in hand, along a closed spiral, from nowhere to nowhere.

“Others,” 2017, Tyumen.

A large-scale mural created for the House of Print in Tyumen—a creative space that brings together people from various artistic professions and other members of the city’s fashionable youth scene.

“Here and Now.” Created specifically for the Flacon creative cluster, Moscow, 2017.

Concert-going culture in the 21st century has changed completely: people now prefer to watch what is happening on stage through their smartphone screens, choosing “deferred impressions” instead of vivid emotions in the moment. I decided to imagine what would happen if phones and people swapped places—if phones were lifting tiny people up so they could see better, and people were watching directly, here and now.
